 to start with i first had essay writing, essay topic was "should sport bodies be allowed to be headed by poltical leaders?" we get 15 minutes to write and max 200 words.... then i had gd, my gd topic was " can business be ethical?" 5 mins to jot down your points, 15 mins for discussion and 30 sec each to summarise.. my gd went ok types.

for pi i had panel one, dean himself and prof bhatia, prof bhatia is considered to be the god of finance by seniors. dean is very nice, and i heard proff. bhatia asks completely technical ques, luckily in my time he had to leave for some work. the dean asked me about capital budgeting and seriously if you dont know the ans, tell you dont know, he would explain you..

hi guys to starting with my pi i ad two biggest faculty of finance prof bhatia n dean himself.. lucky me hardly any technical stuff it was nice on the whole... if u do not know say don kno sir explains beautifully...

then i had my document verificatn and then essay topic was- should college consider only cmat scores for mms admission? then my gd topic was- primary educatn-backbone of indian education? gd was smooth went for exact 14 mins.. on the whole noce experience

 gd topic-shld india adopt 1 child policy? it was fish market..got 1 warning also from panelists..interview was easy with general questions on fmly,hobbies nd all..very little finance questions asked..nd essay was "shld sports bodies be headed by political parties?"

finance questions--wat is ebit,market value,option,future,stocks,capital budgeting,equity,operating profit,net asset value..

Hey guys..finally done with the GD/PI

1) we had to get our doucments verified which hardly took 5 minutes

2 ) In essay writting 15 mins were given ,topic -the impact of electronic media on the psyche of indian youth

3) for GD there were 12 candidates and the topic was FDI retail in India- a boon or bane,the topic was quite gud but 12 candidates and 12 mins to speak it was bcoming a fish market ,for such a big group i think more time shud hav been given for discussion and in the end every one was given 30 secs to summarize

4 ) PI-this was a bit dreadful ...Since i had IT experience i was asked difference between Struts & hibernate,serialisation etc , hobbies and then since i had told i wanted to do MBA in finance i was asked y finance, interest coverage ratio,treynor's ratio , BASEL III  so PI was quite grilling  nw lets see wat happens and yeah results will be out on June 18th ,2pm

Dalmia Experience 4th June

GD topic : In the age of Google Maps and such other social websites is a ban on photography in places of historical, religious importance and security infrastructure RELEVANT (14 students in batch, 5 min to note points, 20+ minutes, each person was asked to summarize and was given 30 seconds to do so)

essay: Journey in 2nd Class of local train during peak hours (200 words, 15mins)

Pi - I am frm Commerce background.. so was asked to write down items in balance sheet as per schedule VI of Cos. Act, Some questions on ratios, why dalmia 

Overall good experience, It was well managed, didn't have to wait for long

hey wassap .. i must say Dalmia well done with crowed management......... our buddies were very helpful awzm infra yar .......................! oohk to strt with had a morning slot 10am got to reach by 9 am 1) Essay (My Criteria to rank Management college ) 2 ) Document verifications n all that 3) GD (Should government improve the minimum age limit for marriages in India) Healthy discussion , at time even fish market but good over all every 1 had to memories for 30 secs 4) PI a lot on my past company future plans ? Y MBA in marketing ? How will you be useful to the college? & P's of marketing & BCG Matrix and its x & Y axis , also they tried convincing me to go for HR instead of marketing

Hi all,

Had GDPI today at 2 pm slot, GD was ok ok, PI was great, was asked very few questions answered them correctly, Had got Panel 1 consisting of Director Prof. Pyarelal Arya and HOD Finance Prof. Bhatia, Essay topic was "Journey by local train in 2nd class during peak hours"  that went fine as well

Overall Good experience  nt good experience with snacks though

GDPI Experiences-8th JUne 10 am
First of all thanx a lot for all the frnds who had posted their GDPI experiences!It helped a lot in preparing for my GDPI

The process was the same as told by other people in dis group

I had GD first,followed by DV,PI and essay writing

GD had 14 participants with 15 minutes for the discussion and 30 sec each for summarising the GD.

Topic was:Old is not gold!

The GD was smooth with no fish market and i was the one to initiate the topic :)

DV was smoooth but had to wait for some time for others D to get over.

PI was the coolest one for me...As i had work experiences,they asked(i drived them to ask:-P) about derivatives which i was working on..i explained well..thn they asked why rupees is deprecating,what is CAD? i explained the answer...then they asked whthr u r taking dalmia rite now..if i am going to give admission nw itself :-P,i said yes!!

Essay writin topic was:My college days and it went smooth..only problm was the time wasnt enuf to xplain all!

Overal dalmia GDPI experience was very good and i am hoping ositive results on June 18th :)
